Dr. June Canty

Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Professor, College of Education

Dr. June Canty is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. She is a full professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and teaches in the preservice and inservice teacher education programs.

Research

Dr. Canty’s areas of research include general and special education in rural education, teacher preparation/induction, and legal ramifications of admissions and dismissal decisions from professional programs.  Her current project is a studying the supports that beginning teachers receive and making policy recommendations related to induction practices.

Accomplishments include:
