Dr. Li Xu
Li Xu, CFE, joined WSU faculty in 2012. She received her doctorate in accounting from Duke University in 2006. She earned her Bachelor of Art from Wuhan University (1999) and her Master of Finance from Suffolk (2000). Prior to her academic career, she had worked for Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle (PMN) and MFS Investment Management. She also consults with corporations on a variety of valuation and accounting matters.
Dr. Xu’s research focuses on corporate governance, capital market and shareholder litigation. She serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several premier accounting and finance journals. Her publications have appeared in Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting and many more.
Dr. Xu’s teaching focuses on intermediate accounting and financial statement analysis. She is a co-faculty advisor of Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society.
