Saumik Basu (PI)

Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Entomology at Washington State University (WSU). I completed my PhD in Life Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India. Then I did postdocs at University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Washington State University before joining as a faculty member at WSU Entomology. I published over 30 journal publications including Journal of Experimental Botany, Plant Physiology, Molecular Ecology, Functional Ecology, Ecology, Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Scientific Reports etc. I am currently leading many projects associated with sustainable management of pests and pathogens in diverse systems. My interests include molecular ecology, insect physiology and pest biocontrol etc. 

Pooja Malhotra

She did her master degree in Entomology from David Crowder lab at WSU Entomology. Lab manager of Basu lab and the bee team. She is investigating Molecular and biochemical aspects of honey bee-mite-fungus interactions and new fungus strain development and biocontrol of honey bee pests.

Prospective postdoc
