At the Washington State Public Health Association (WSPHA) 2022 conference, a few of us from the Spokane Food Policy Council (SFPC) team presented, Addressing Health Equity with the 2022 Spokane Regional Food Action Plan. For 45 minutes, we offered a packed room of 42 people a) overview three-year process of action plan development, b) a presentation of the SFPC’s four strategic priorities, and c) progress on our legislative engagement.

I co-presented a poster on Bridging the Gap of Rural Access to Grocery Retailing at the National Rural Health Association annual conference. The poster summarizes the findings from the evaluation of the Island Grown Food Access pilot.

This year, Dr. Janessa M. Graves and I presented a poster on Allostatic Load Measurement: systematic review of reviews, database inventory, and neighborhood considerations at the Western Institute of Nursing (WIN) annual conference. In this poster we present the preliminary findings of our systematic review of reviews.
