Prof. Bose\u2019s interdisciplinary research interest lies at the interface of Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biology, focusing on 3D printed bone scaffolds, implant materials and drug delivery vehicles. Prof. Bose received the CAREER award and the prestigious Presidential Early Career Award for Scientist and Engineers (PECASE) from the National Science Foundation. As a PI or Co-PI, her research has been funded by several state and federal agencies (including NIH \u2013 NIBIB, NIAMS, NIDCR), industries and foundations over $15 million. She has advised over 45 graduate students for their MS and PhD, over 35 undergraduate students, published over 280 technical articles including over 240 journal articles, 23 book chapters, 9 edited books, 12 issued patents. Her research papers have been cited ~ 20,500 times (\u2018h\u201d index 75 Google scholar). She is a fellow of the AAAS, MRS, NAI, ASM International, AIMBE, ACerS, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and a member of the Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS). She received WSU distinguished faculty address award and WSU Sahlin faculty excellence award for research scholarships and art. Her students have also received numerous awards within and outside WSU, are working in national lab, academia, and industries. He has worked\/working with 20 Ph.D. and 30 MS graduate students, 6 post-doctoral research associates \/ visiting faculty members, and over 50 undergraduate students at WSU. He has written over 345 technical articles, edited 11 books, inventor of 21 issued patents, and a member of the editorial boards of over 10 different journals, including the Journal of Materials Research, Additive Manufacturing, Applied Surface Science, Advances in Materials Science and Engineering and Applied Ceramic Technology. His research expertise focuses on additive manufacturing \/ 3D Printing, emphasizing bone implants and multi-materials structures. He received the CAREER award from the National Science Foundation, the Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research, and the Anjan Bose Researcher award from the WSU. He is a Fellow of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), American Ceramic Society, American Society for Materials (ASM), American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and an elected member at the Washington State Academy of Science (WSAS). His work has been cited over 23,700 times, and the current \u201ch\u201d index is 82 (Google Scholar).
