{"id":2079,"date":"2026-03-30T16:42:01","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T23:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/caire\/?p=2079"},"modified":"2026-03-30T17:00:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T00:00:49","slug":"caire-research-highlights-at-wsu-undergraduate-showcase-ai-innovation-in-k-12-classroom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/caire\/2026\/03\/30\/caire-research-highlights-at-wsu-undergraduate-showcase-ai-innovation-in-k-12-classroom\/","title":{"rendered":"CAIRE Research Highlights at WSU\u00a0Undergraduate\u00a0Showcase: AI Innovation\u00a0in K-12 classroom"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the recent series of spring research showcases held at Washington State University, an undergraduate&nbsp;team&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<strong>CAIRE<\/strong>&nbsp;presented their groundbreaking progress in AI-powered education.&nbsp;This&nbsp;presentation highlighted the exceptional research and practical skills of CAIRE student&nbsp;members.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Developing the AI Group Coordinator System<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 23, Julia Lee, a CAIRE research assistant and undergraduate student, and her collaborator Jacob Fox presented their multi-agent system, the \u201cAI Group Coordinator,\u201d at Washington State University\u2019s annual Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"936\" height=\"523\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/3565\/2026\/03\/0d81bc3247ae80807bc1c281bee24bca.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/3565\/2026\/03\/0d81bc3247ae80807bc1c281bee24bca.png 936w, https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/3565\/2026\/03\/0d81bc3247ae80807bc1c281bee24bca-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/3565\/2026\/03\/0d81bc3247ae80807bc1c281bee24bca-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/3565\/2026\/03\/0d81bc3247ae80807bc1c281bee24bca-150x84.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 936px) 100vw, 936px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed through a collaboration between the CAIRE Lab in the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences and the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the project was co-mentored by Dr. Peng He and Dr. Parteek Kumar, with support from the Microsoft AI for Good Lab.
