Climate and Health Tool<\/h1>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Climate change has been called the greatest public health challenge of the century.<\/p>\n

The CHANT was developed first to study nurses, as key providers of healthcare and public health.\u00a0 However, when exploring information about what nurses knew and did about climate change and health, little was found. While instruments existed that measured the general public’s understanding of and engagement with climate change, none were found to measure these elements among nurses, the nation\u2019s largest group of healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

The investigators addressed this gap by developing and testing the Climate, Health, and Nursing Tool.<\/p>\n

Since 2020, all Health Professionals<\/strong> are included in CHANT, and the name was changed to the Climate and Health tool.\u00a0 Responses will contribute to the growing body of knowledge of health professionals’ awareness, motivations and behaviors related to climate change and health.<\/p>\n

CHANT is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Finnish.<\/p>\n

Faculty, Professional Organizations and other groups may use CHANT to study their students or groups.<\/p>\n
