Lindsey Lavaysse Awarded Safety and Health Grant

Lindsey Lavaysse (PI; Co-I: Dr. Probst), a 2nd yr. graduate student, was awarded a $1000 grant from the NC Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center for her M.S. thesis project entitled, “Pregnant employees and occupational safety: Does stereotype threat play a role?”

Dr. Probst Receives Visiting Professor Research Award

Dr. Probst has been awarded a Visiting Professor Research Award from the University of Rome to conduct health and safety research in Italy during 2017. With her collaborators, Dr. Laura Petitta and Dr. Claudio Barbaranelli, their joint research project seeks to identify the contributing role of the current financial crisis with its concomitant economic stressors toward predicting safety attitudes, behaviors, and accidents among workers within Italy.

Student Success Project Funded by Provost’s Office

Dr. Probst and Dr. Alexander Dimitrov were awarded a $24,000 WSU Student Success Seed Grant from the Provost’s Office for their project entitled, Interventions to Instill a Growth Mindset among Students in Math-Intensive Gateway Courses. The project runs from 7/1/2016 to 12/31/2018.
