Prospective Graduate Students

Recruiting one graduate student to start in Fall 2026

Applicants must have a background in atmospheric/climate/environmental sciences, meteorology, statistics, engineering, or other related quantitative fields. Graduate degrees are offered through the School of the Environment. Please review the application requirements and expectations of the degree programs.

If you are interested in joining the lab and have the suggested background, please reach out to Deepti Singh with your CV (deepti.singh@wsu.edu). In your email, please provide sufficient information about your background and research interests as they pertain to the lab’s research expertise. You are encouraged to review the research areas and publications and identify areas you might be interested in. New ideas in related research topics are always welcome. Although I cannot respond to every email, I will try to respond to prospective students who I believe have the required background and will likely be a good fit with the lab.

Students in the lab are typically funded through a combination of research assistantships, teaching assistantships and fellowships. Graduate students at WSU are part of a student union and stipends are guided by the union contracts. Please review this page for latest information about the contract terms and stipends.

Postdocs

There are currently no funded postdoctoral positions available. However, if you are interested in joining the lab and willing to apply to external fellowships such as the NOAA Climate and Global Change fellowship program or the NSF postdoctoral fellowship, please reach out to discuss potential research ideas and collaborations.
