Almendra Vasquez-Perez

Almendra (she/her/ella) is a Washington State University alumna with a degree in Environmental Science and a deep commitment to making environmental justice accessible and actionable. Currently serving as the Senior Climate and Health Coordinator at Fourth Plain Forward and Vice President of Community Engagement for LULAC of Southwest Washington, she leads initiatives at the intersection of climate resilience, public health, and youth and family engagement.

Growing up in an agricultural family and supporting Wenatchee families through wildfires deeply shaped her dedication to this work. Whether she is facilitating workshops for local schools, hosting Art & Nature in the Park, or organizing winter support for unhoused neighbors, Almendra remains focused on a simple conviction: that climate resilience must be rooted in dignity, equity, and immediate community care. She is honored to serve on the WSUV Collective for Social and Environmental Justice Board and contribute to its mission of advancing justice-centered environmental leadership.
