Currently, I am a seasonal technician with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.  I work on the upper Columbia river doing northern pike suppression, carp suppression on Lake Spokane\/Long Lake, and redband trout monitoring in tributaries in the upper Columbia River basin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During my time at WSU, I worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/ecology\/the-group\/amanda-stahl\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/ecology\/the-group\/amanda-stahl\/\">Amanda Stahl<\/a> as a field technician. We flew drones to estimate vegetation biomass and species composition of a riparian area at <a href=\"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/hudson-biological-reserve\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/hudson-biological-reserve\/\">Hudson Biological Reserve<\/a> (Smoot Hill) near Pullman, WA.  See the video below.  I learned about flying drones, image analysis, DGPS and field sampling. I hope to publish our error analysis in the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m from a small town in northern Idaho called Priest River where I spent the first 18 years of my life hunting, fishing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
