My friend is a drummer \u2026 [the children] really love it when he brings out the hand drums and has sort of a drum circle \u2026 They sit around, and we will play some music on the radio that they like \u2026 and they try to play on the beat \u2026 The xylophone, we have maracas and we have little bells and the hand drums \u2026 it&#8217;s just a cacophony of noise \u2026 [They were] so involved and so happy and all trying to work together.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From Our Intervie<\/strong>w <strong>with Belle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the day she opened in 2012, things went so well in Erin\u2019s family home childcare that her husband soon joined in the endeavor. When the pandemic hit, Erin was glad to learn that she would not have close unlike other businesses subject to statewide shutdown orders because she \u201cwanted to continue doing the same things \u2026 and keep the continuity for the children in this time.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of remaining open, Erin said that so far, \u201cWe\u2019ve been very lucky and very blessed \u2026 We really haven\u2019t had the Covid concerns as some daycares have.\u201d She attributed her relative success to having sibling groups from just a few families, all with parents who had \u201csomething to do with the medical field\u201d and were fully supportive of safety and hygiene practices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, the experience of working through the pandemic has brought on a unique kind of stress, which Erin described as, \u201cNot the kind of stress where you are just wringing your hands and walking the floor, but \u2026 a lot of adults are just more tired \u2026 I\u2019ve been exhausted earlier on every day.\u201d She said she had \u201ca lot of hope\u201d that the vaccines would bring an end to the pandemic so that she could \u201clook back \u2026 and say we provided
