Eligibility

Eligible candidates are healthy individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Male or Female
  • Age 18-50 years
  • Healthy, with regular eating habits
  • Do not use nicotine, marijuana, or illicit drugs
  • Not following a diet to gain or lose weight
  • Not pregnant, nursing or actively trying to become pregnant
  • No food allergies or sensitivities (e.g. gluten intolerance, barley allergy, corn syrup allergy)
  • No food texture sensitivities
  • Not afraid of blood or needles
  • Not on prescription medication or supplements that could affect sense of smell or appetite (birth control or medications to control blood pressure are permissible, if there have been no dose changes in the past three months)

In order to find out whether you are a good fit with our study, we ask you to please fill out the online screening survey available here. Completing the survey could be followed by a 30-45 minute in-person screening session. Not everyone who comes to the screening will be eligible for the study. Information from your screening questionnaires will be permanently unlinked from your identify after eligibility has been determined.
