Kmar genome updates

Thanks to the great community of researchers working on Kryptolebias marmoratus, we will soon have a genome with maximum contiguity, with scaffolds approaching the length of full chromosomes. Dovetail Genomics has given us a rough estimate of 12-14 weeks; however, this could change depending on quite a few factors. As many labs have invested in this project, I hope to keep everyone informed as we move forward so please check back here periodically to find out how close you are to having an assembled genome!

Dovetail typical timeline is as follows:

DNA extraction + Chicago & HiC library construction = 2-3 weeks
Sequencing = 3-5 weeks
HiRise pipeline and bioinformatics polishing = 3-4 weeks
