Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Students that are interested in getting research experience are encouraged to contact the Owen lab. Undergraduates have played a significant role in all of our research projects. Work in the Owen lab includes animal care, molecular assays, and data management. Students are strongly encouraged to develop independent research projects.
Graduate Research Opportunities
The Owen lab is seeking new graduates students at the M.S. and Ph.D. levels. Students can apply through the Department of Entomology, or the School of Biological Sciences. Current areas of graduate work include:
- Natural antibody dynamics and infectious disease in wild birds.
- Dietary ecology and host-tick interactions.
- Parasitic disease in pastured-poultry farming systems.
- Visual literacy and arts-based learning in the biological sciences.
