To address these challenges, scientists and engineers around the world have, in recent years, been exploring opportunities in utilizing new innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, and Robotics. Widespread research and development in this area is expected to lead the farming industry towards Ag 4.0 supported by smart, automated\/autonomous machines and agricultural systems that will increase consistency and reliability of farming decisions and operations, reduce input (including labor), and optimize crop yield and quality. In this context, this \u201cWorkshop on Automation and Robotics in Agriculture\u201d will bring together some of the pioneering researchers and engineers from Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world into a forum where open and interactive discussion can take place on the recent achievements in this area and a collective vision can be spearheaded for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Washington State University-University Technology Sydney Joint Center on #AgRobotics invites interested scientists, researchers, engineers, students and other stakeholders to this half-day workshop to be held at University Technology Sydney on Dec 3, 2019. The workshop will provide attendees an opportunity to be a part of an important discussion led by prominent, invited researchers and entrepreneurs from both academia and industry.
