What to Expect During a Study

1. Skin Prep: Your skin below your eye, around your cheek, and forehead on the left side of your face will be prepped with an alcohol pad, an exfoliating sponge, and moisturizing gel.
2. Sensor Placement: Next, the sensors will be placed in the same areas that were prepped. Note that the researcher may use medical tape to keep them in place.
3. Skin Prep and Sensor Placement: Next, your arms will be cleaned with an alcohol pad a few inches below each elbow bend and above the left wrist. The sensors will be placed in those same areas. Two sensors will be placed on the middle and ring finger of your non-dominant hand as well.
4. Device and Wire Placement: Next, the signal recording devices will be placed around both forearms and shoulders, these straps have to be tightened. Lastly, the lead wires will be connected to the devices.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask the researcher running the study. Thank you for your participation.
