The WSU Biocultural Anthropology Lab and Temperament Lab are now recruiting

BREASTFEEDING, STAY-AT-HOME MOMS

Are you currently in your third trimester, or have a baby less than 6 months old?

Are you currently or planning on exclusively breastfeeding your baby for the first few months postpartum?

Will you be taking care of your infant at home for the first few months postpartum?

Researchers at Washington State University are looking for women and their infants to participate in the study, Childcare choices, microbiomes, and infant behavior—are they related? We are interested in how bacteria present in human milk and the infant’s digestive tract are influenced by early environments.

Participation will require that you and your infant meet study inclusion criteria (e.g., at least 18 years of age with an infant less than 6 months, in good health and exclusive breastfeeding or pumping at least 5X per day). Participation will require a donation of milk and infant/adult stool samples, interviews, and observations of your infant in your home. Compensation will be $100 in the form of a gift card to businesses in the area.
