She currently works as a research analyst for the State of Idaho.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column three \">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/1029\/2016\/01\/Danny-B.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-49\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-49\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/1029\/2016\/01\/Danny-B-396x264.jpg\" alt=\"Danny B\" width=\"396\" height=\"264\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Danny Breidenbach<\/h5>\n<p>Dr. Danny Breidenbach earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 2009 with an emphasis in research, evaluation, and measurement. Danny joined Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. in May 2008. He is a program director and psychometrician, managing certification and licensure examination programs for client organizations in a wide array of content areas. He is an associate professor in the Learning and Performance Research Center and a faculty member in Educational Psychology at WSU. His research focuses on maximizing effective and proper use of educational and psychological measurements. He examines assessment\/measurement literacy among teachers, score reporting, and building validity arguments from both technical and non-technical evidence. Dr. Gotch was named 2018 Academic Advisor of the Year at Washington State University by ASWSU.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column two \">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/1029\/2016\/01\/Juan-Antonio-Valdivia-Vazquez.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-53\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-labs\/uploads\/sites\/1029\/2016\/01\/Juan-Antonio-Valdivia-Vazquez-396x264.jpg\" alt=\"Juan Antonio Valdivia Vazquez\" width=\"396\" height=\"264\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Juan Antonio Valdivia Vazquez<\/h5>\n<p>Dr. Juan Antonio earned a PhD in Educational Psychology in 2014 with an emphasis in research, evaluation, and measurement. His research focuses on cross-cultural measurement and personality measures. She has contributed to projects covering a mix of topics and research methodologies, allowing her to leverage her quantitative skills while also deepening her knowledge of measurement issues. Her most recent experience includes\u00a0contributing to food security research at Georgetown University in Qatar,\u00a0and data analysis consultancy to Reach out to Asia provided in the context of migrant worker integration initiative evaluations. Her research interests include instrument design, measurement invariance across cultures, factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Hafize is currently on maternity leave and based in London, UK, with her husband and son.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"builder-section-1451955704993\" class=\"row thirds gutter pad-top\">\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column one \">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.wp.wsu.edu\/uploads\/sites\/609\/2019\/01\/MoZhang-792x528.jpg\" alt=\"Zhang standing in front of large paintings.\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Mo Zhang<\/h5>\n<p>Dr. Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 2012 with an emphasis in research, evaluation, and measurement. Mo is employed at ETS in Princeton, NJ. She is a research scientist at ETS and continues to work on automated scoring related projects and the evaluation and design of automated scoring systems. Dr. Zhang also was awarded the 2019 Bradley Hanson Award for Contributions to Education Measurement from the National Council on Measurement in Education.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column two \">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.wp.wsu.edu\/uploads\/sites\/1485\/2018\/03\/DSC_1847-396x264.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>David Alipzar<\/h5>\n<p>Dr. David Alpizar graduated in 2021. Dr. Alpizar was the fi<strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal\">rst in his family to obtain a college degree. He received his B.A. and M.A. at California State University Northridge (CSUN), and his PhD from WSU. He is also a former National Institute Health (NIH) RISE, a former NIH Maximizing Access to Research Careers Scholar, and completed a summer internship with ETS. He is interested in statistics, methods, and measurement, examining equivalence issues of widely-used scales, and accounting for assumptions underlying CTT and IRT frameworks. Dr. Alpizar is a <\/span><\/strong>Psychometrician with CAI Cambium Assessment Inc.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column three \">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wsuwp-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2015\/08\/Iverson_photo-792x528.jpg\" alt=\"Iverson_photo\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Andrew Iverson<\/h5>\n<p>Dr. Andrew Iverson graduated with his PhD in 2017. Andrew earned his B.A. and M.A. in psychology at University of California, Irvine and California State University, Fullerton respectively. Andrew won the Three Minute Thesis in the College of Education at WSU and was a key member on many projects in the Psychometric lab. He is an outstanding programmer! Dr. Iverson completed a summer internship with the American Institutes of Research, Washington DC. Dr. Iverson is a research analyst in the Research and Data Analysis (RDA) Division with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"builder-section-1724096784911\" class=\"row thirds gutter pad-top\">\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column one \">\n<h5>Hsiao-Ju Yen<\/h5>\n<p>Dr. Hsiao-Ju Yen earned a PhD in Educational Psychology in 2013 with an emphasis in research, evaluation, and measurement. In her time at Washinton State University, she won Three Minute Thesis in the College of Education, interned at the Center for Assessment, served as a research scientist for Women in Measurement, and received the Harriet B. Rigas Award for outstanding doctoral student. Her work and graduate training at WSU focused on examining the validity of youth risk assessments through a specific case of the Washington Assessment of the Risks and Needs of Students (WARNS) system she supported since 2018. After completing her dissertation, supported by the WSU Graduate School Dissertation Fellowship and the Center for Measurement Justice (CMJ), Dr. Vo joined CMJ as a Critical Quantitative Methodologist Fellow. At CMJ, she specializes in humanizing assessment and measurement practices through prioritizing strategic engagement with stakeholders, increasing representation, and supporting critical research.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"\" class=\"column three \"><\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our graduates are finding success in the work in which they engage.
