Frequently Asked Questions:
- Where do students normally stay while they are in Pullman?
- There are a number of undergraduate research programs during the summer at WSU, and they all stay in Global Scholars Hall which has air-conditioning, laundry, full kitchens, and is central to all things fun on campus.
- How do students get to/from Pullman?
- Three airports serve WSU — the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport, Lewiston-Nez Perz County Airport, and Spokane International Airport. Folks can travel to Pullman via Greyhound Bus as well.
- Do I need a car/reliable transportation for when I am staying in Pullman?
- WSU has a bus system which serves campus and the city of Pullman which is free for summer scholars to use. The REU program will provide transportation to/from social events (e.g., hiking, paddle boarding, game night).
- Can I arrive after the start date of the program?
- We work with every scholar to maximize the research experience. On occasion, this has meant that scholars started their research experience remotely because they are on a quarter system (WSU is on semesters).
