RNGS at the United Nations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The overall findings of the RNGS project were presented by Amy Mazur at the Expert Group Meeting, Equal Participation of Women and Men in Decision-making Processes, with Particular Emphasis on Political Participation and Leadership, sponsored by the Division of the Advancement of Women of the United Nations held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia last October. She also worked with Shirin Rai and the other members of the EGM, as the rapporteur, to produce a final report for the UN and presented the group\u2019s findings at the Fiftieth Session of the Commission on the Status of Women and NGO Consultation for United Nations in February. The paper, called UN Paper, is available on our website and information on the EGM, including all of the expert papers and the final report can be found at http:\/\/www.un.org\/womenwatch\/daw\/egm\/eql-men<\/a>\/.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      RNGS worked with the Institute for Women\u2019s Policy Research in presenting the following mini conference at IWPR International Meeting on Women\u2019s Policy, June 19-20th, 2005. Thanks to additional support from the European Science Foundation, the National Science Foundation and the Fredereich Ebert Foundation, this conference presented RNGS findings to policy practitioners from several countries studied in the project.
