{"id":70,"date":"2026-08-27T12:09:52","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T19:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/seed\/?page_id=70"},"modified":"2026-08-27T13:44:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T20:44:26","slug":"news-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/labs.wsu.edu\/seed\/news-2\/","title":{"rendered":"News"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The SEED Research Group (Sustainable Engineering and Ecological Design) has launched at Washington State University Tri-Cities, led by Dr. Tapajyoti Ghosh in the Gene and Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering and the Institute for Northwest Energy Futures (INEF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group builds coupled, multiscale models of energy and industrial systems spanning the unit process, the supply and value chain, the regional economy, and policy, and formulates life-cycle, economic, and ecological performance inside process and systems optimization, so that design and consequence are evaluated together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SEED is now recruiting PhD and MS students and welcomes undergraduate researchers with interests in process systems engineering, optimization, industrial ecology, and AI.
