The Trimble Technology Lab at Washington State University’s School of Design and Construction experienced consistent use by students throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, reflecting the lab’s role as a critical resource for design and construction education.
Between August 1 and December 31, 2024, the lab recorded 485 individual card swipes, while the period from January 1 to April 25, 2025, saw 492 swipes—indicating both sustained demand and strong student engagement across semesters.
These numbers demonstrate the value students place on access to high-performance hardware and specialized software provided by the lab. Students from Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Construction Management regularly utilize the lab for coursework, design development, and project-based collaboration.
As the lab continues to support a wide range of pedagogical and creative activities, these usage statistics highlight the importance of maintaining open, reliable, and well-equipped digital environments for the SDC community. With 24/7 access scheduled to begin in Fall 2025, usage is expected to grow further, accommodating diverse work habits and expanding the lab’s impact across disciplines.
