Beginning in August 2025, the Trimble Technology Lab in Carpenter Hall will be accessible to all students in the School of Design and Construction (SDC) on a 24/7 basis through card swipe access. This initiative, made possible with the support of the VCEA IT team, is intended to enhance flexibility and improve access to high-performance computing and specialized software for students working outside standard hours.
The lab is equipped with advanced workstations and industry-relevant tools—including Trimble’s SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and other digital design and construction platforms. By enabling around-the-clock access, the lab will better support the varied schedules and project demands of students across Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Construction Management programs.
This development reflects the lab’s ongoing mission to provide inclusive, high-quality technological resources that align with both academic and professional expectations. Details regarding lab use policies can be accessed here.
