On May 30, just one month after her arrival in Pullman, WSU President Elizabeth \u201cBetsy\u201d Cantwell visited the Trimble Technology Lab as part of a focused tour of research and teaching facilities within the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA). She was accompanied by Provost T. Chris Riley-Tillman, VCEA Dean Partha Pande, and School of Design and Construction Director Jason Peschel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Trimble Technology Lab, housed in Carpenter Hall, represents WSU\u2019s commitment to integrating industry-grade tools and workflows into design and construction education. During the visit, the lab team introduced cutting edge equipment in digital modeling, virtual design and construction, and reality capture\u2014highlighting the lab\u2019s interdisciplinary impact across Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Construction Management programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Though the visit was brief\u2014part of a tightly scheduled walkthrough including stops at the SDC FAB Lab, Avista Energy Conversion Lab, CS MARS Lab, Cybersecurity Lab, X-Ray CT Lab, and Wegner Labs\u2014the President engaged with faculty and staff on how the lab\u2019s advanced tools support both teaching and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
