The 2026 Trimble Technology Lab (TTL) Summit<\/a> brought together faculty, university administrators, and Trimble leaders from Technology Labs around the world for several days of collaboration, professional development, and strategic planning in Denver, Colorado. Hosted by Trimble’s Education and Outreach team, the summit provided an opportunity for participating universities to exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies, and discuss the future of technology-enabled education in architecture, engineering, construction, and geospatial disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing Washington State University were Dr. Vahid Vahdat, Director of the WSU Trimble Technology Lab, and Dana Sprouse, Director of Development for the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture. Their participation reinforced WSU’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with industry while expanding opportunities for students and faculty through the Trimble Technology Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n

The summit featured a diverse agenda that included presentations from Trimble executives, faculty-led case studies, technology demonstrations, collaborative workshops, campus success stories, and discussions on curriculum development and industry engagement. Participants also had opportunities to network with peers from established and newly launched Trimble Technology Labs, sharing best practices for integrating digital design, surveying, reality capture, mixed reality, and construction technologies into higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of the summit was the panel discussion, “Future of TTLs,” which explored how Trimble Technology Labs can continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of students, universities, and industry. Dr. Vahid Vahdat served as one of the panelists, joining fellow TTL directors in a conversation about the next generation of academic-industry collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n

The WSU Trimble Technology Lab has continued to expand its impact through initiatives including curriculum integration across multiple programs, student project showcases, industry collaborations, expanded tutoring services, and enhanced access to advanced hardware and software resources.
