This site describes my research, teaching, and service. My work focuses on health communication, looking at how we can use strategic communication, including through mobile and digital media, to promote attitudes and behaviors related to health.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m an associate professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/murrow.wsu.edu\/\">Edward R. Murrow College of Communication<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/wsu.edu\/\">Washington State University<\/a>. I\u2019m also a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/murrow.wsu.edu\/research-insights-murrow-minds\/murrow-center-for-media-and-health-promotion-research\/\">Murrow Center for Media and Health Promotion Research<\/a>. I received my Ph.D. in Mass Communication and a certificate in Interdisciplinary Health Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. Go Cougs! I received my B.A. and M.A. from the Murrow College, where I now teach. I love getting to be a part of the Cougar community and giving back to the program that gave me so much.
