Summary

Alice Squires joined the Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) department of the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) at Washington State University (WSU) as an Associate Professor in the Fall of 2014. Alice Squires brings a passion for online education and a 35-year career to her position at WSU. Her broad background in systems engineering and her experience as a technical manager provide a strong foundation of industry experience to her courses. She has served as a full-time or adjunct faculty since the turn of the century 🙂 to more than a thousand students at the graduate and undergraduate level using a variety of Learning Management Systems.

Alice says: “My teaching philosophy in one word is: ‘Engagement’.  Successful engagement requires an interactive exchange of ideas and concepts that inspire on a daily basis.  Gone is the sage on the stage; enter the hands-on subject matter expert participating along side the students in class activities – whether face-to-face or online.” Go Cougs!
