ARCCH Lab

The Accelerating Research in Cognitive Communication Health (ARCCH) focuses on effective and efficient assessment and treatments for aging adults and people with acquired brain injury. The ARCCH Lab is part of the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine located at the WSU Spokane campus.

Our work focuses on functional rehabilitative assessment and treatment to support healthy aging with and without acquired brain injuries. The mission of the lab is to investigate the implementation of best practices and novel technologies/interventions in rural rehabilitation settings. This is accomplished by:

  • Creating and evaluating novel technologies/interventions for neurorehabilitation
  • Using interdisciplinary healthcare models for promoting healthy aging, including proactive and reactive service delivery
  • Engaging in functional assessment and treatment for screening and supporting healthy aging

The ARCCH Lab is used to conduct functional neurocognitive assessments and interventions through pragmatic and clinical trials with adults. The ARCCH Lab has a collaborative model that engages in interdisciplinary projects led by researchers across the College of Medicine.
