Dr. Dang featured in Mass Timber Webinar

Dr. Hongtao Dang is featured in a Mass Timber Webinar on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Mass timber offers many benefits to the built environment, such as being renewable, low-carbon, quick to construct, and cost-competitive. In September 2022, over 1,500 mass timber projects were designed or constructed for multi-family, commercial, or institutional buildings. Advancements in engineered wood products and computer technologies in manufacturing made mass timber an excellent substitute for carbon-intensive materials (e.g., concrete and steel) and building systems. With the quick revolution in the industry, four institutions invite you to join a panel discussion on the future of mass timber construction applied education and research in North America. The four panelists are George Berghorn from Michigan State University (MSU), Paul Corvella from State University of New York (SUNY), Hongtao Dang from Washington State University, and Azzeddine Oudjehane from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). The moderator of the panel discussion is Melanie Ross from SAIT.

Register to learn from webinar panelists George H. Berghorn, Paul Crovella, Hongtao Dang, and Azzeddine Oudjehane, facilitated by Melanie Ross on Wednesday, November 30th 11:00 – 1:00 MST.
