CAIRE received a Microsoft AI for Good grant to build an AI Group Coordinator

Congratulations to Dr. Peng He, Assistant Professor in the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences, on receiving a $50,000 award from Microsoft’s 2025 AI for Good initiative.

The grant will support the development of an AI-Empowered Group Argumentation Coordinator designed to promote equitable science learning in middle school classrooms. The project leverages large language models and Microsoft Azure technologies to scaffold real-time, evidence-based classroom discussions and ensure inclusive student participation.
