Congratulations to Mortuza for being selected as the recipient of the 2015 MME Outstanding TA Award. The MME Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award is awarded each spring semester for the previous year’s classes.

CNL is excited to be part of a team for a new ARPA-E project titled “Low Cost, Safe, and Efficient All Solid State Sodium Batteries for Grid-scale Energy Storage and Other Applications”, in collaboration with Iowa State, University of Houston, University of Colorado, Solid Power Inc. and Prof. Scott Beckman at WSU. This was part of a set of 41 grants (funded out of over 2000 proposals) announced by Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz

CNL is glad to be involved in WSU’s team that will design and build a solar home during the next two years as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon competition. WSU was one of 16 college teams from across the world chosen to participate in the 2017 competition, which requires students to plan and build a 600- to 1,000-square-foot home that receives all its energy from the sun

Mortuza to present his work at the AIChE’s Annual meeting in Salt Lake City

Mortuza’s work on developing a combined deterministic-stochastic framework for modeling the agglomeration of colloidal particles has been published in Physical Review E. The tool provides a new approach to model growth of clusters during solution processing of thin films.
