Lane Maguire is pursuing her Doctorate with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She received her M.S. in Environmental Science from WSU at the Puyallup Research and Extension Center, and her B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Oklahoma. Lane’s research interests include stormwater management and the environmental fate and ecological impacts of emerging contaminants, including genetic biotechnology. When she’s not working you can find Lane running, camping, or hanging out with her dog.

Jenny Espin is a senior undergraduate student at Washington State University. Jennifer is currently pursuing her B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Jenny has been working in Dr. Gardner’s lab since 2020. Her research focuses on soil microbiome engineering for applications in PAH bioremediation. She is originally from Ecuador but has been living in Seattle since she was 15 years old. Her outside interests are playing basketball and painting.
