How do I join the lab?
If you are interested in joining the lab, reach out to the KINES 264 instructors to express interest and receive an application packet. Hiring typically happens during the Fall semester and occasionally during Spring semester. The application process is a two-step process consisting of an application packet and in-person interview.
Can I complete my 390 practicum and 485 internship in the lab?
The lab does accept students seeking to complete their 390 practicum and 485 internship within the lab. Depending on the semester, the number of applicants seeking an internship may be limited. If interested, reach out to the lab director, Dr. Christopher Connolly, to request permission to complete these internships.
What opportunities can I gain from the lab?
The lab offer students hand-on experience to learn client rapport, how to administer performance tests, analyze and collect performance data. Our lab provides meaningful experiences for multiple career paths such as exercise physiologists, athletic trainers, physical therapists, prosthetics, strength and conditioning coaches, etc. The lab also partakes in the annual American College of Sports Medicine Northwest chapter meeting, where graduate and undergraduate students have the opportunity to present research, listen to presentations, and connect with other students and professionals in the Northwest region.
