Join Our Lab
The HEAR lab has opportunities for students at all levels. We welcome students regardless of their background or previous research experience!
The HEAR lab is committed to collaborative, inclusive, and applied research practices. We have an interest in training students in methods and skills that can be used within and outside of academia to advance student opportunities and growth. Our lab can provide training in the following:
- Theory and methods from the social sciences and public health
- Qualitative methods, including interviews, focus groups, and participant observation
- Quantitative methods, including applied statistics and data visualization
- Science communication and research dissemination
- Collaboration with industry, nonprofit, and governmental partners

This form allows undergraduate students to express interest in assisting with research projects in the HEAR lab at WSU. With this background information, Dr. Owens can better match you to an ongoing project or help craft a project with your interests in mind.
