We are excited to welcome Dr. Azmain Faek Islam, who has joined the Popov Group as a postdoctoral researcher. His background spans computational materials science, including ab initio molecular dynamics, DFT, and machine-learned interatomic potentials. Dr. Islam’s previous work examined ion transport and coordination chemistry in molten uranium chloride salts as well as defect-driven mechanical behavior in rare-earth oxides. We are glad to have his expertise in the group and look forward to learning from his experience!
