MERIT Laboratory

Below represent examples of recent and ongoing applied and methodological projects in which members of the lab are engaged. Across the several funded projects we work on, we design learning strategies and develop tests and surveys to measure learning outcomes (e.g., cognition, motivation) in multimedia learning environments. Here are some of the funded projects we currently work on:

An Instrument and Adoption Framework for Student Cognitive and Social Engagement with a Course. Funded by National Science Foundation
PERKS: Power Electronics Refined learning via affordable Kit and Software tutor. Funded by National Science Foundation
Interpreting the practical significance of effect sizes. Funded by Faculty Funding Award – College of Education
External Evaluation of Highline Project. Funded by National Science Foundation
A Proposal for an Interdisciplinary Conference on Maximizing the Affordances of contemporary Technologies in Education (MATE). Funded by American Educational Research Association
