Welcome to our website! We are the Grid-based Renewable Electrified Energy Needs (GREEN) C3 Lab in the Gene & Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering & Bioengineering at Washington State University.

Our team is dedicated to designing and understanding novel catalysts and chemical processes that contribute to sustainable and green development. Our research focuses on several key areas: (1) Alkane activation; (2) Flue gas utilization; (3) Biomass upgrading.

In our investigations, we adopt the mindset of a scientist as a detective, exploring the reaction mechanisms behind chemical reactions using our catalysts-characterization-computation (C3) approach.

We are committed to advancing scientific knowledge and creating social impact through our teaching, research, and outreach activities.
