Communication Development Lab

We study communication and language development in young children at risk for or with neurodevelopmental disorders and in older children with diverse neurodevelopmental profiles, including individuals with complex communication needs. Our research integrates assessment and intervention science, advancing more precise and developmentally grounded approaches to measuring communication and strengthening how communication differences are identified, characterized, and supported across development.

Students Interested in Research

Our lab supports trainees across disciplines and levels of training, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. If you are interested in gaining research experience in communication development, please email medicine.commdev@wsu.edu.
