The Ambrosini Lab focuses on the Precision Medicine to improve the diagnostic processes and optimize the treatment options for both human and veterinary patients. We integrate organoid technology and organ-on-a-chip microfluidic system to create paradigm-shifting organ models. These organ models can emulate the complexity of individuals by incorporating intestinal epithelium, microbiome, immune cells and microenvironmental factors during the health and disease. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to investigate the disease processes and to optimize the treatment to be more tailored to individual patients.
