Kirti Rajagopalan Lab of Agricultural, Natural, and Human Systems Modeling

The lab of Agricultural, Natural and Human Systems Modeling develops and utilizes a variety of modeling approaches to better understand and manage water and agricultural resources. We focus on trans-disciplinary efforts to problem solving and work closely with colleagues from a broad range of disciplines including engineering, economics, entomology, physiology, statistics, and agronomy. Research focus areas include

  • Coupled crop-hydrology modeling
  • Integration of satellite-imagery inputs into models
  • Weather/climate risk assessment for tree fruit production
  • Decision support for water and agricultural management
  • Water markets and decision making
