NVIDIA has awarded Dr. Peng He from the CAIRE Research Lab at WSU (Co-PI) and Dr. Parteek Kumar (PI) an Academic Grant of 32,000 A100 GPU-hours to advance educational AI.

CAIRE is proud to announce that our Visiting Scholar, Honglu, has been selected to receive the NARST Graduate Student Travel Award ($2,000). This award recognizes emerging scholars whose research contributes to advancing science education through rigorous inquiry and innovation.

Tingting Li and fellow researcher Peng He, also an assistant professor in CESHS, will receive $82,500 to support their Rural AI for Societal Equity (RAISE) project, which will build upon their previous efforts to help teachers and students in small towns make the most of the rapidly expanding technology.

The AI in Education Network brings together AIR researchers working at the intersection of technology, learning, and evidence. Through six coordinated studies, teams will explore how AI is being used to support instruction, assessment, professional learning, and data-driven decision-making in schools across the country.

Tingting Li has been awarded a 2025 NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship for her project, Designing an LLM-Based Multi-Agent System for Customized Science Assessments Through Multidisciplinary Human–AI Collaboration.

Peng He has received a $50,000 grant from Microsoft’s 2025 AI for Good initiative to develop an AI-powered tool that supports equitable science learning in middle school classrooms.
