The Food & Biomaterials Engineering Lab at Washington State University develops engineering solutions for safer, higher-quality, and more sustainable food systems. Our research integrates biomaterials and biointerface engineering, AI-enabled imaging and spectral analytics, and energy-efficient high-performance processing to address challenges at the interface of food, materials, and microbes within agricultural and food systems.
