Past Projects
Done but not forgotten…
We’ve done some good work in the last 5+ years. While the immersive science research has progressed into newer projects, there are valuable insights still to be had by retaining and sharing past work.
EUCAPS
The EUCAPS project took place from 2013-2016 and was funded by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. It sought to facilitate science teaching and learning in kindergarten through grade 8 by providing professional development activities through intensive summer institutes and academic year follow-up sessions focusing on big ideas in science (core disciplinary content in Physical Earth, and Space and Life Sciences), cross-cutting themes and pedagogy.
Sorting to Learn
The Sorting to Learn project (also known as “Enhancing Transfer via Category Construction) took place from 2012-2015 and was funded by the Institute for Education Sciences (Award #R305A120554).
