Education Efforts:
I am dedicated to helping students gain the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to develop their ability and succeed in professional life
I am devoted to developing and demonstrating integrative learning experiences for student success, and provide discipline knowledge and skills, ideas and concepts, questions and problems, tasks and projects, which interact with critical thinking and competencies
Graduate students and post-docs graduated/worked from my lab are now professors at internationally esteemed universities, and engineers and scientists in industries and government
Research Efforts:
My research focuses on biofuels and bioproducts development, renewable energy technologies, and cost-effective biomass conversion technologies with clear reaction mechanisms and methodologies for sustainable future
My research investigates the mechanisms responsible for the generation of fuel components and high value chemicals and bioproducts from lignocellulose biomass and municipal solid waste, and address fundamental and applied questions in conversions at the molecular, reactor, and system levels
My research is to discover a rigorous set of guidelines and a conversion platform for the issues involved in the formulation of a discipline of conversion and catalysis design
I am devoted to creating the scholarly learning and inclusive environment for student and post-doc success. My team and I have authored more than 165 peer-reviewed journal papers and book chapters
