Judging Policies and Rubric
Judging Policies
To support a fair and consistent evaluation process, please review the following guidelines:
- Individual scores are kept confidential. Public announcements will only include the winners. Students may request their own score, but full scoring sheets or judge comments will not be released.
- We cannot provide explanations for why one submission scored higher than another. Final selections reflect the combined rubric scores and the judging panel’s professional assessment.
- In the event of a tie, the MAC Lab research team—who are not involved in judging and do not have access to participant identities—will review the tied submissions using the same rubric to determine a winner.
- All judging decisions are final.
