The Social Norms Campaign Design Guidelines are meant to help participants create cohesive, ethical, and effective campaign materials. These guidelines ensure that all campaign submissions communicate research-informed, health communication messages designed for college students, by college students. We want your voice to be heard!
This campaign is run by the Media, Adolescents, and Cannabis (MAC) Lab as part of an ongoing effort to reduce substance misuse and is designed to promote positive student norms. By following these guidelines, participants help ensure the campaign materials are both creative and grounded in health campaign theory and best practices.
Following these guidelines ensures that all submissions:
- Maintain consistent design standards, visual identity, and tone.
- Encourage creativity while communicating accurate and credible messages.
- Promote student voices and authentic student representation.
- Reflect inclusivity and representation of student populations.
- Contribute to broader substance misuse prevention efforts.
