A paper led by Robbie Andrus, and contributed to by Arjan Meddens and six other WSU researchers, was recently published in the Journal of Biogeography. The paper, titled ‘Canary in the forest?–Tree mortality and canopy dieback of western redcedar linked to driver and warmer summers’ explores how drought and warmer conditions lead to reduced growth and are associated with a die-off event of western redcedar.
