Welcome to PEMD Group
The Power Electronics and Motor Drive (PEMD) Group is a newly founded research group by Dr. Hang Gao at Washington State University, Vancouver from Spring 2021. PEMD group is concentrated on the research on topologies, modulations, and controls of high power converters in renewable energy and motor drive applications.
- One Research Assistant (RA) position for Ph.D. study starting in Fall 2025 is available in Dr. Gao’s group. An earned master’s degree in electric or power engineering is preferred.
- One Teaching Assistant (TA) position for master’s study starting in Fall 2025 is available in Dr. Gao’s group. An earned bachelor’s degree in electric or power engineering is required.
- Research projects are also available for self-motivated undergraduate students who are interested in power electronics topics through the Undergraduate Summer Research Program and hourly-paid part-time undergraduate researcher position depending on funding availability.
