Power Electronics and Motor Drive Group Dr. Hang Gao

Welcome to PEMD Group

The Power Electronics and Motor Drive (PEMD) Group is a newly found research group by Dr. Hang Gao at Washington State University, Vancouver from Spring 2021. PEMD group is concentrated in the research on topologies, modulations, and controls of high power converters in renewable energy and motor drive applications.

  • Teaching Assistant position for master program is available in Dr. Gao’s group. An earned bachelor’s degree in EE is required.
  • Research projects are also available for self-motivated undergraduate students who are interested in power electronics research.
